Watchmaking is a slow craft.
We don't hurry it.
The benefits of bringing your watch to us come down to one thing: we treat it as if it were ours. That shapes everything — from the assessment to the conversation to the final test.

Experienced, dedicated technicians
Each technician at Detik Emas focuses on a specific area of watch service — movement work, quartz systems, or cosmetic care. This focus means the person working on your watch knows it deeply.
No work without your agreement
We document what we find and explain it before touching the watch further. You decide what to proceed with. This isn't policy — it's how we believe the work should be done.
Genuine care for the piece itself
We notice things — a softening of an engraved edge, an unusual wear pattern on a clasp. We point these out because they matter, even when they're not the reason the watch came in.
Clear, upfront pricing
Our service prices are set: RM 135 for quartz, RM 600 for mechanical overhaul, RM 320 for bracelet and case care. There are no assessment fees or add-on charges for standard inclusions.
Realistic turnaround times
We give honest timelines and keep to them. Quartz work is typically two working days. Mechanical overhauls run seven to fourteen days. We update you if anything changes.
Secure handling from intake to collection
Numbered trays, receipted intake, and a secured workshop. Your piece is tracked from the moment it enters our care until you collect it — and not a moment earlier does it leave.
A closer look at each benefit
Skilled hands with specific knowledge
Watch repair is not a single skill — it is several. The precision required to disassemble and lubricate a mechanical movement differs meaningfully from the care needed to refinish a polished case without dulling its edges. Our team is arranged around these distinctions.
Razif's work on movements spans automatic and manual calibres across a wide range of origins and eras. Ariff's eye for metalwork finishes means he knows when stopping early is the right decision. Siew Lin's focus on quartz systems and customer communication means nothing technical goes unexplained.
- Movement service specialists in automatic and manual calibres
- Quartz technician with battery and gasket experience across common brands
- Case and bracelet specialist trained in conservative refinishing
- Timing machine available for post-service regulation and verification
- Water-resistance pressure testing equipment on site
- Written condition summary produced before any service work begins
- Customer conversation at each decision point
- Numbered tray system for secure tracking throughout
- Post-service testing before return to customer
- Honest timeline given upfront — and updated if anything changes
A service method built on transparency
We begin with a careful look and a written summary. From there, nothing moves forward without a conversation. This might seem slow, but it means you are never surprised by a bill or a scope of work you didn't understand.
Every watch that leaves our care has been tested in the relevant way for its service type. Quartz pieces are pressure-tested. Mechanical movements are timed and rated. We don't hand things back until we're satisfied with the result.
Fair pricing with nothing hidden
Our prices reflect the time and materials each service genuinely requires. There are no hidden charges for standard inclusions — the gasket check and water-resistance test come with the quartz service, not as extras.
We're also honest when a repair doesn't make financial sense for the customer. If the cost of a mechanical overhaul exceeds what the watch is worth to repair, we say so — and offer alternatives where we can.
All prices include standard testing and condition assessment. No assessment fee.

What we do that others don't
The condition card
We present our assessment on a written condition card — a physical document that travels with the watch through each stage of service. You receive a copy at collection.
Honest advice even when it costs us business
If your watch doesn't need what you thought it did, or if a repair doesn't make sense economically, we'll tell you. We'd rather you trust us than pay us unnecessarily.
We treat finish character as something worth keeping
Worn polish and soft brushwork tell the story of a watch. We don't erase that story unless you specifically want us to. Our default is preservation, not restoration to factory-new.
A real conversation, every time
Whether you drop in for a quick battery change or leave a mechanical piece for a full service, we make time to speak with you. You always know what's happening with your watch.
